Local author releases book based in Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A new legal mystery novel based in the City of Syracuse and written by a local author was released Wednesday. The book called "Dark Horse" was written by lawyer Mike Langan, who lives in Fayettville with his family.

The book highlights some key Central New York landmarks like Armory Square, the Onondaga County Courthouse, Turning Stone Casino, the Carrier Dome, and the fairgrounds.

Langan says the novel is about a judicial candidate, who runs from the police, after he's framed for the murder of his campaign manager.

"I hope they'll like the local scenes. I hope they'll like the characters, the dialogue, the setting. I wrote it really to try and make it difficult to put the book down,” said Langan.

"Dark Horse" is available at independent bookstores nationwide and online.
