Bisesi to receive mental treatment
ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Monday, medical reports made public revealed a mental disorder may have propelled Joseph Bisesi, III to kill his parents.
With his lawyer Randi Bianco at his side, Bisesi pleaded not responsible for his parents' deaths due to a mental defect or disease.
"We have two psychiatrists who agree that he did not understand that the nature of he was doing on the date of the offenses was legally or morally wrong,” said Christine Garvey, Onondaga County Assistant District Attorney.
In July, Bisesi was charged with first degree murder after the bodies of Joseph and Jo Ellen Bisesi were found in the septic tank at the family's home.

During Monday's proceedings Bisesi explained to Judge Anthony Aloi that he was hired by the CIA to carry out the murder of his parents.
"I was told by the CIA they were imposters and criminals, I received two calls from the CIA on my cell phone telling me that they wanted me to kill the imposter parents before they killed me, said Bisesi.
County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick says Bisesi was the victim of an alleged assault in 2005. Although Bisesi had prior mental problems, both Fitzpatrick and defense lawyer Randi Bianco believe the altercation affected Bisesi's mental state.
"He precipitously declined after that assault and the state police and the Baldwinsville PD did the best they could to investigate that case but there's some gutless coward out there that sucker punched this kid that in some way is as responsible for what occurred,” said William Fitzpatrick, Onondaga County District Attorney.
"It's very very sad that he was the victim of such an offense and to a large extent that's what brings us here today,” said Randi Bianco, Defense Attorney.
Judge Aloi resolved the case due to Bisesi's insanity.
Fitzpatrick says Bisesi could spend up to life in a mental institution as a result of the plea.
