YNN Senior Reporter Bill Carey is a classic storyteller. He turns a piece every day (really!), and they are always good. Whether it’s a day-of story on tight deadline or a feature story with a little breathing room, Bill writes the heck out of every story he touches. This entry is an example of three of his stories from 2011. The first two…the sentencing in a high-profile murder case and the return home of a fallen Marine, were both day-of stories. The third was a Presidents’ Day feature. Bill worked with a couple photogs to shoot the piece in advance, but still put the whole thing together in a day. All demonstrate his unique and memorable writing ability.
