October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and a popular campaign here in Central New York will be returning for another year. The Baking For Breast Cancer campaign benefits local breast cancer patients through the help of purchases made at numerous restaurants in the Syracuse area. Brad Vivacqua is at Canale's Restaurant on Route 57 in Liverpool and has more.

LIVERPOOL, N.Y. -- To help the cause, all people have to do is purchase the specialty dessert item at one of about 20 restaurants through the month of October. At Canale's Restaurant in Liverpool, their specialty dessert is white chocolate raspberry cheesecake.

The proceeds will go to benefit the non-profit group known as Positively Pink Packages.

If you're a restaurant that wants to participate in this you can also do that as well.

Remember this campaign will get underway Thursday, October 1.
