SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- It's getting colder and some Syracuse University students are making sure patients at the nearby Golisano Children's Hospital stay warm.

Members of the Beta Alpha Psi accounting society at SU's Whitman School of Management spent some time Thursday making blankets for young patients. The project came as a partnership with industry giants Deloitte and Touche.

"We're making all different sizes for all different ages. And as you can see, they're bright and colorful. I think it's just going to be a really fun evening for us and an opportunity for us to get to know the students here as well as doing something to give back to the community," said Ellen Auster, Deloitte Tax Principal.

Golisano Children's Hospital opened last month and took in its first patients last week.
