SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The new wave of green technology may have just arrived in the City of Syracuse. Impact Technologies unveiled its new powAIR Sail wind turbine in the Syracuse Technology Garden.
The turbine is only about eight feet tall and 300 pounds.
Creators say the design is fit for buildings in the city.
"We have made it versatile enough to remove the pole mount so it can be deployed directly onto rooftops so you can have the energy where you need it, in the cities in neighborhoods and on your businesses," said TriciaRae Davis, PowAir Sail VP.
Impact Technologies is a Syracuse company and says all of their parts are manufactured nearby.
