SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The theme for this year's annual Duck Race to End Racism was announced Wednesday. "To Change..." is the message and it highlights Interfaith Works' mission to increase diversity and understanding within our community.
The annual duck race helps fund the group's Community Wide Dialogue to End Racism program and the event spotlights Interfaith Works' efforts within the community.
"Anybody who comes to the duck race, can see that it is a day when racism has ended at the Inner Harbor. People are working together, leading together, playing together and making a day when we have no more racism," said Beth Broadway, Executive Director of Interfaith Works.
The eighth annual duck race will take place at the Syracuse Inner Harbor, Saturday June 12th, from noon to 4 p.m. It includes children's entertainment, games, food, face painting, ice cream and of course, duck races.
