SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Massachusetts Republican Senator Scott Brown visited Syracuse University Saturday to sign copies of his book, "Against All Odds."
In the book, Brown details his entire life from the traumatic events of his childhood, to the mentors who coached him, his experience of playing on the Tufts varsity basketball team, and his rise through the political world.
In 2010, Brown ran and won the race for the late Senator Ted Kennedy's seat. Brown says having good people in your life can make all the difference.
"My mom and dad were divorced four times each, and there was a lot of turmoil growing up, not unlike many young people right now that have those same challenges, but I did have a couple of good coaches and a teacher and a judge who kind of took me under their wing and took an interest and that was very helpful growing up,” said Sen. Scott Brown, (R) Massachusetts.
Brown's book was released last month.
