ITHACA, N.Y. -- Congressman Richard Hanna made a stop in Ithaca to see what can be done to help small business.
Hanna toured Transonic Systems on Thursday, a company that develops high-tech medical equipment. With 145 employees and room to grow, Transonic's founder spoke with the congressman about advancements his company is making in the industry, as well as the challenges small businesses face in New York State.
"Mostly we're touring the district to figure out the needs of the businesses in this district. And there are hundreds of them and there's a lot of common threads. Bureaucracy is a problem. I think high taxes in New York State. All the things that everybody knows about. But it's always good to learn more and it's amazing the opportunities in this district," Hanna said.
Hanna says he hopes to promote the company in Washington.
