IRS stimulus checks to be mailed in May
UNITED STATES -- You may have already received a letter from the IRS in your mailbox in recent days.
The first checks under President Bush's economic stimulus package will start going out in early May.
If you've already filed a return, which you need to do if you qualify, the first electronic payments will be made on May 2nd. But that's only if you had your regular tax refund direct deposited into your account.

Rebate checks will be in the mail on May 16th with the last ones going out in July.
