11th person diagnosed with Legionnaires' disease
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Onondaga County Health Department confirms an 11th person has been diagnosed with Legionnaires' disease.

One of the other patients with Legionnaires' disease died yesterday. The state and county health departments have not confirmed if the death is a result of legionnaire's disease. Many of those diagnosed live in the Onondaga Hill area.

News of this death comes just a day after the county confirmed Legionnella bacteria was present in a culture growing from one of the cooling towers at Community General Hospital, but the health department has not confirmed whether or not that was the cause.
