Fourth case of Legionnaire’s confirmed in Elmira
ELMIRA, N.Y. -- The Chemung County Health Department has confirmed a fourth case of Legionnaire’s disease in Elmira.
Health officials say all four people are senior citizens who live in the Flannery Towers on Main Street.
Legionnaire's can cause pneumonia, often in people with compromised health. The health department says outbreaks usually come from a single source and they are working now to find that source.
