OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two people are seriously injured after an accident between a car and motorcycle in the Town of Richland. State Police say it happened just before 3 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Route 13 and County Route 2A.

Police say a motorcycle driven by Gary Schipper, 71, hit the back of a stopped car, injuring himself and his passenger.

Schipper was flown to University Hospital with a broken arm and leg. Schipper's wife was taken to University Hospital with a broken leg.
