LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -- A Lake Placid man is arrested after police say he shot and killed another man while deer hunting. State police arrested Michael Smith, 43, on a warrant Friday after an investigation showed he shot Leo Hickey, 35, while deer hunting in the Town of Keene back in November 2008.

Smith is charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide. He was arraigned and is being held in the Essex County Jail.
