SUNY Canton Wellness Fair
CANTON, N.Y. -- SUNY Canton is taking a different approach than eating an apple a day to keep the doctor away. The school hosted a Wellness Fair to give students and community members tips on how to be healthy.

Various community health agencies were on hand with information and advice on how to do right by your mind and body. The fair offered several health screenings from blood pressure to body fat.

Organizers say the event is a good way to remind people how important it is to take care of themselves.

"Whatever you do now at this point is something you're going to get a payback for later on in life. Everything we do now is going to be better for us later on," said Julie Cruickshank, SUNY Canton Health Educator.

The fair was sponsored by SUNY Canton's Davis Health Center.
