ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Star Lake man has been accused of setting his truck on fire so he could report it as a vehicle malfunction. St. Lawrence County Sheriff's detectives arrested Charles Allen, 31, on Thursday.

Investigators say Allen intentionally burned his pickup truck by lighting its electrical box with a torch while he was driving. He then called 911 to report the fire.

Allen has been charged with third degree arson.
