Movie being filmed in old iron mines of Moriah
ESSEX COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Adirondacks will soon be the backdrop to a low budget film with some big names actors.

Paul Sorvino and his son, Michael Sorvino, have been added to the cast of a movie being filmed at the old iron mines in Moriah as well as other locations in southern Essex County. The movie will depict the lives of Irish immigrants who worked the mines. The Sorvinos will play a father-son team of mining magnates at the beginning of the 20th century.

The film title is "Switchback" and production is scheduled to begin on May 15th.
