CICERO, N.Y. -- This is being sponsored by Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES. Administrators, teachers, and community leaders will be able to learn a great deal of information at this conference that may help them better prepare students for the 21st century.

This skills conference will run from today through Thursday and will include a number local school superintendents and guests from across the country.

As society continues to change, it's important for teachers to be ready to implement change in the classroom. Officials say those in attendance will learn about new technology tools, as well as the 4 C strategy, creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking.

"Despite our great track record of education, we still are not there yet on these skills, so we are having a conference, we're bringing people together from all over the country to come, give us insight and advice as to how to get this job done," said Jeff Craig with BOCES.

The event will include a number of guest speakers and breakout sessions.

Unfortunately, registration has been closed for this particular conference, which is taking place at Drivers Village.
