A dangerous chase through Oswego County
OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 20-year-old from Constantia is locked up after leading police on a dangerous chase through Oswego County Saturday morning.
The Sheriff's office says they first tried to pull over Anthony Burke for speeding in on State Route 69. He took off, at times speeding over 100 miles per hour. Burke eventually crashed into a patrol car and went into a ditch, but he was able to keep driving.
Eventually he hit a State Police SUV and a pickup truck parked in someone's driveway before landing on his roof.
He was taken into custody on the spot and now faces charges for DWI, unlicensed operation, as well as fleeing police.
Burke is being held at the Oswego County Jail on $50,000 bail.
