ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Jury selection is underway in the trial of a former corrections officer in Oneida County, accused of sexually abusing two girls under the age of 11. Donald Hughes Jr. faces a number of charges for the alleged abuse, including four counts of first degree sexual abuse.

Jury selection is expected to last two days, with opening statements to begin Wednesday.

Last year, Hughes turned down a plea deal that would have sent him to jail for 15 years because he denies all guilt.
