ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- The courtroom got heated as one more witness took the stand in the re-trial against Wayne Oxley. Oxley is being tried for the murder of his neighbor Bernard Trickey Jr. in 2005 in Ogdensburg.
A fellow inmate of Oxley's took the stand. Corey Printup wrote two letters to the district attorney's office claiming Oxley had confessed to the murder after a fight over television privileges in the prison. The district attorney gave Printup a deal for testifying after his most recent criminal charge of burglary.
The defense brought up inconsistencies in the letters and his testimony.
The trial will continue on Thursday.
