Congressman Paul Tonko says a movie director was wrongfully censored while in Washington. Josh Fox, the man behind the hydrofracking documentary "Gasland," was arrested while trying to film a subcommittee hearing in Washington, D.C. Now, Tonko is speaking out in support of Fox.

Rep. Tonko says the committee encouraged the chair to allow Fox to film the meeting. He says the purpose of the meeting was to show transparency and share information with the public.

"It was being released to the outside world by in house cameras, so there was no secret exchange of information that would occur here. To me, it was a classic example of censorship by view point," said Rep. Paul Tonko, (D) 21st District.

Tonko added that while Fox attempted to get clearance to be at the hearing, Fox never got a call back officially receiving clearance.
