STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- It's been a little more than two weeks since a fire destroyed an Amish-owned chainsaw repair shop in Rathbone. But the shop has already been rebuilt.

A friend of the Amish says in just four days, they had the structure rebuilt along Country Route 119, across the street from the fire.

A number of Amish families helped with the construction. About 60 people rebuilt the shop.

Their friend says the shop was their livelihood and it was important for them to get it back up and running.

"They're pretty resilient. Like I couldn't believe when I drove by the first day after the fire, there was over 60 men working here. And to see that many people in one area and working together to make it happen, again, was a pretty good deal," Martin Nichols said.

Construction continues on the site of the original fire.
