Two missing people found alive in Franklin County

By: YNN Staff

FRANKLIN COUNTY -- Two missing people have been found alive in Franklin County, along with a stolen Jeep.

State Police had been looking for Angela Roberts, 23, and Carl Burns Junior, 41, who were last seen Wednesday morning.

According to investigators, Roberts was found walking on Conifer Road in the town of Piercefield by a passing driver Thursday evening. She was treated and released from the Adirondack Medical Center.

Friday morning, police and forest rangers found the stolen Jeep in a remote area. The Jeep had been reported stolen along with a handgun in a burglary in Tupper Lake.

Upon finding the Jeep, authorities conducted an extended search and found Burns. He was in apparent good health.

Police cannot say at this time if the disappearance of Burns and Roberts is connected to the burglary. They said more information will be released as it becomes available.
