SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Firefighters had to battle flames Monday evening at a building on North Geddes Street in the City of Syracuse. The fire broke out at a multi-family home just after 5 p.m.
Reports were that smoke could be seen across the city coming from the fire.
At this point, we have no information on whether anyone was injured, or how bad the damage is, but the flames were knocked out within an hour and crews were just working to contain the scene.
Several families will likely be displaced as a result.
Several roads surrounding the scene were shut down.
