SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Lawyers representing Syracuse University and head coach Jim Boeheim continue to call for the dismissal of a lawsuit against them.

They submitted additional paperwork to the State Supreme Court in Onondaga County this week, asking the court to dismiss the defamation lawsuit filed by Bobby Davis and Michael Lang.

The two men have accused former SU assistant coach Bernie Fine of sexual abuse. They are suing Boeheim and the University, claiming Boeheim defamed them by calling them liars after they came forward with the abuse accusations back in November.

Lawyers for the coach and University say Davis and Lang are distorting Boeheim's statements by taking them out of context. They argue the comments made were not statements of fact, but opinion, and therefore protected under law.

As for the accusations against Bernie Fine, he has denied any wrongdoing and has not been charged.
