WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- The autopsy results are in for the woman who died over the weekend in Watertown.

Police said Angela Perdue, 24, was riding in a car driving by John Preston, 24, on Mill Street when she exited the vehicle and struck the pavement, hitting the undercarriage of the car. The Jefferson County Medical Examiner said Perdue died from blunt force trauma.

Police are using the word "exited" because they don't know yet if she jumped out, fell out or was pushed out.

Preston is from Tennessee but is staying in the area as the investigation continues.
