SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Polish flag is now flying high in front of City Hall in Syracuse. A flag raising ceremony was held Friday to help kick off this weekend's Polish Festival.
The event celebrates Polish culture, and organizers say there's something for everyone to enjoy.
"If you like music, we have something you can't beat. It's Jimmy Sturr, 18-time Grammy winner, an absolutely amazing guy in the polka industry. We have Polish food, we have ten restaurants. We have vendors coming from all around America,” said Tad Szyszka, Polish Festival Chairman.
The 58th annual Polish Fest runs from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, noon through 11 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday in Clinton Square.
