SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Tickets officially went on sale Saturday for two of the upcoming grandstand concerts at the New York State Fair. However, the switch to a new ticket vendor seems to have caused problems for some buyers.

Tickets to the Jason Aldean and Keith Urban concerts went on sale at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday through Etix. Customers were able to buy online, over the phone, or in person at the State Fair Box Office.

Fair Director, Dan O'Hara said 13,000 tickets to the Aldean concert sold in the first 40 minutes of availability, with the high number causing a minor computer glitch right at 9:00 a.m.

The State Fair Facebook page quickly saw a number of posts from frustrated customers, with many stating they were met with delays online and others saying they could not get good seats, despite waiting in line for hours overnight.

O'Hara said he understands the frustration with the quick sellout, but overall he feels that everything went well.

"I feel terrible for people that do wait in line or are at home trying to purchase tickets and ultimately they find out that they can't get them because it's sold out. Or what happens is, there's a ticket available here, one there, and they're coming as a group and they can't sit together. Those are really unfortunate situations," said O'Hara.

According to O'Hara, he already planned to talk with Etix on Monday to talk about how everything went from both sides for the new system.
