BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- For those who didn't stop by the car show, there was of course, America's favorite pastime. Many dads showed up, decked out in their best Mets gear at NYSEG Stadium on Sunday.
Although there were some diehard fans present, many said they were not there just for the sport, but also to enjoy quality time with their families.
"Today is just a good day to get outside. I'm glad the weather is good. Enjoy some time with my family after a long work week, and that's kind of what it's all about for me," said Dave Curtis, a resident of Castle Creek.
"Beautiful out for a baseball game, and we don't come to these a lot, but this is a Father's Day tradition. We usually come on Father's Day, we get to run on the field and that's what we get to do," said Tim Miller, a resident of Endicott.
The B-Mets will be away this week to take on the Akron Aeros.
