SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Ice cream is one way people are staying cool on such a hot and humid day.
Gannon's Isle is well known in the Valley section of Syracuse. This summer, they're making it easier for people living and working Downtown to enjoy the sweet treat. They have two carts to serve up their many flavors: Hanover Square and Columbus Circle.
In addition to staying close to the ice cream, one of the employees says he has other ways to keep cool as the mercury rises to about 90 degrees.
"I try to stay under the umbrella as much as possible, look for shade. I got plenty of bottles of water. I'm always drinking those," said employee Ted Curtin.
The carts will be stationed in both Downtown locations throughout the summer. They are open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
