SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- MoveOn.org is asking members of Congress to back a constitutional amendment to reverse a Supreme Court decision that allows unlimited fundraising and spending by so-called Super PACs.

Members of the group in Syracuse passed petitions that they delivered to the office of republican Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle.

“One, two or ten people can put together, literally, hundreds of millions of dollars. Influence the airwaves. And remove any real value of individual voting,” Brent Vogt said.

Move On is passing along similar petitions to lawmakers nationwide. So far, just 97 members of Congress have agreed to back the amendment.
