Man stabbed and robbed at a homeless camp
TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A man was stabbed multiple times at a homeless camp in Ithaca on Thursday.
It happened around 2 a.m. at what is known as the "Jungle" on Cecil A. Malone Drive.
When officers arrived, they found a 57-year-old man bleeding from his neck.
They say someone entered his tent and attacked him with a sharp object while he was sleeping. The suspect also got away with his ATM card.
He victim was taken to a hospital in Syracuse where he was last reported being in guarded but stable condition.
