Syracuse Police investigate New Year’s Eve homicide

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police have identified the man killed late Monday night.
Investigators say David Jones Jr., 30, was shot at least once while sitting in his SUV around 11:30 p.m. Monday at 744 West Onondaga Street. Jones was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The search is still on for the suspect. He's described as six feet tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt with a Syracuse University logo and the letter "C" on it.
