ELMIRA, NY. -- A civilian employee of the Elmira Correctional Facility was convicted for promoting prison contraband. Elmira City Court says Jessica Clearwater pleaded guilty to misconduct and promoting prison contraband and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge. She will also pay a fine and serve 200 hours of community service.

Clearwater and another employee, Jeff Case, were arrested back in the beginning of February when Police say Case brought prohibited items into the facility.

Case will appear in court at a later date.
