ILION, N.Y. -- We caught up with Congressman Richard Hanna in Herkimer County on potential local sequester effects.
Hanna said he is worried about layoffs, furloughs and decreased pay for federal workers. He said all of that could hurt the local economy.
The congressman also said he's worried about private military industry and contractors throughout his district.
"The uncertainty the government has impugned on these companies is hard to imagine. So I think a lot of it is going to be a wait and see, but I'm still hopeful they'll resolve this in the next week or two," Hanna said.
Hanna said he supports cuts in Washington, but not the arbitrary cuts brought by the sequester.
