LEWIS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The first day of spring looked more like the middle of January for people in the Tug Hill. People in Barnes Corners in Lewis County saw snow fall at a rate of one to three inches per hour.

While many in the Tug Hill are used to heavy snow, some are frustrated by a major lake effect storm, so late in the year

"We got at least a foot and a half since yesterday, off and on, yeah, there's been trucks stuck, luckily the beer truck made it," said Roger Grace, a Barnes Corner resident.

And there's no rest for the weary. More snow is in the forecast for the Tug Hill.
