Weekend events in the Mohawk Valley
For food, dancing and agriculture, the Route 30 New York Power Authority Blenheim-Gilboa Visitor's complex is the place to be.
The sixth annual Schoharie County Harvest Festival takes place on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. rain or shine. It costs $5 per carload.
North of that at the Alpin House on Route 30 in Amsterdam is the First Annual Car-Truck-Bike Show going on from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There are awards for the best vehicles and food. Entertainment is also taking place.
All proceeds go to the Red Cross for hurricane victims. Vehicle registration is $10 while admission is free.
Also on Saturday, the Perth Volunteer Fire Company will hold its 60th Anniversary Polka Dance at their station on Route 30.
The fire department benefit begins at 5:00 p.m. and features award-winning polka musicians and polish foods. Admission is $12.
