Search for missing man continues

Kathleen Bierce says there is no way her son would just leave and not tell anyone. It wasn't like him. Despite Mark Ramin's disappearance nearly four years ago, she is still looking for answers.
"Well you know if I have exhausted everything. I couldn't have exhausted everything because I haven't found him. I can't find him. So obviously there is something missing,” she said.

Ramin was last seen at the Pyramid Mall, where he was employed January of 2002. Extensive searches were conducted around the mall and surrounding areas, but they turned up nothing.
"When we did that step not a lot came out of it. There hasn't been a lot of other evidence, quite frankly, none at all. In our opinion it is like he has vanished without a trace also, and that is the frustrating thing about the case," said Senior Investigator Derek Osborne, with the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office.
He says this case is unusual because Ramin was older and had full use of his faculties.
"Usually they are younger people. We don't quite often have cases like this where older people or adult age come up missing,” he said.
Osborne says it's important to continue bringing attention to this case because they are very often solved through information by the public.
Bierce agrees but says it isn't always easy.
"You will notice all the missing people you see on television are all children and women. Attention should be put on them, especially the children. But adult males they get very little attention," she said.
Bierce says America's Most Wanted will soon profile her son on its missing list.
He is 135 pounds, 5’ 5”, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He wears glasses and the tip of his right middle finger is missing.
