Man accused of abusing baby
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The husband of a medical student at University Hospital has been accused of beating their three-month-old son.

Police say Leonard Glasgow, 31, of Toronto broke several of his son's bones early Thursday morning at their home in the Presidential Plaza apartment building. Police say the boy's mother took him to the hospital later in the day. A doctor found he had a broken pelvis, leg and ribs, as well as bruises to his face.

Glasgow tells police he dropped the baby, but police say his story is not consistent with the baby's injuries.

"Children are very resilient, bones like that don't just break as the result of a slip. We went in, we took some pictures and measurements and the story he is telling us is just not possible and is not consistent with the severity of the injuries to this child,” said Tom Connellan, Syracuse Police Sergeant.

Glasgow has been charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center.
