Local girl featured on “Good Morning America”
NEW YORK STATE -- If you happened to catch “Good Morning America” on Christmas Day, you may have noticed a story that hit quite close to home. A teen from Upstate New York shared a simple gift of pajamas for residents of a nearby nursing home.

Corissa Tefft, a freshman from Central Square, was featured for her efforts collecting pajamas for the residents of Rosewood Heights Nursing Home, including her grandma.

“Good Morning America” came to Syracuse to film a segment on the teen.

Many of the residents have dementia and sometimes don't remember the gifts, but Tefft says that's okay with her.

"They're just so happy at the moment that I'd rather just see them have a better moment and forget it a couple minutes later, but know that they're happy," Tefft said.

Tefft has been collecting pajamas since her grandmother was admitted to Rosewood Heights three years ago.
