Syracuse Police searching for who set a cat on fire
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police are trying to identify the person who set a cat on fire.
Police say a man walking his dog in Lincoln Park Friday found the animal. At first he thought it was a brushfire, but as he got closer, he saw the remains of a cat still burning. Police say they found a red gas can about seven feet from the fire and a black rope that the cat may have been tied to.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call investigators at 442-5222. Whoever is responsible will likely face felony charges.
