Montgomery Co. woman pleads guilty to arson

A Montgomery County woman is facing up to five years in prison after admitting she set fire to a shed while her husband was inside.

Toni Lynn Spencer, 51, pleaded guilty to arson after the incident in December. Spencer told a judge Monday she set fire to the shed on her property in Mohawk because her husband was spending too much time in there.

She said she had no idea he was there, and insisted she would never have burned the building if she knew he was inside.

Her husband was able to escape without any injuries.
