TROY, N.Y. -- A Syracuse favorite is expanding to the Capital Region. Dinosaur Bar-B-Que will be opening a new restaurant in Troy next week.

With less than a week to go, the waterfront restaurant staff is hustling to make final touches. The interior design includes distressed solid wood and has room to fit more than 200 people. And just like the original restaurant in Syracuse, visitors can expect live music and 100 percent hickory smoked bar-b-que.

"That's specific to Dinosaur Bar-B-Que right?" our reporter asked.

"Absolutely. Other people use different kinds of woods, but they've discovered hickory is what makes our food taste great, with the wood and smoke so that's what we stick with," said kitchen manager Mike Grenolds.

The restaurant opens to the capital crowd on Wednesday.
