AUBURN, N.Y. -- Community members in Auburn hold a fundraiser to benefit the parents of 2-year-old Averyana Dale, who died in a house fire last weekend.

The Ireland's Gymnastics Center held an open gym event Friday night, and all proceeds from the benefit are going to the Dale family.

The organizer is a long-time friend of the family, and wishes to help them in any way possible.

"I think it's very important that they have a lot of support, going through something like this, whether it's just emotional support, financial support, anything that the community can do, you know, helps the family greatly," said gym owner Kate Brahney.

The fire also took the life of 38-year-old Rachel Curione. Both Curione and Dale died of smoke inhalation.

Investigators have since concluded that the fire was accidental.
