Man sentenced on federal kidnapping charge
CENTRAL NEW YORK – A South Carolina man will spend 35 years in prison for kidnapping a 21-year-old woman and leaving her unconscious in Cayuga County back in 2009.
Arnold Fox, 32, pleaded guilty to a federal charge of kidnapping last summer after he admitted to placing an ad for a non-existent job at a fake horse farm to lure a woman to Pennsylvania.
Days after responding to that ad, the victim was found at a Cayuga County motel, bound and bleeding from a head wound. The FBI tracked Fox down in Miami, Florida, where they found the victim's car, as well as multiple hand guns in his possession.
Fox was convicted on gun charges in Florida and his new sentence will run consecutively to that, meaning Fox will spend a total of 38 years in prison.
