SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Neighbors on the Southside of Syracuse got to meet the people who put together their local newspaper, "The Stand."
Reporters and other staff members held a workshop Saturday to show people what goes into their work, everything from developing story ideas to putting it on paper. The goal of the forum was not only to get the public involved, but also let aspiring journalists know that there's a place where they can come and learn.
Ashley Kang, The Stand Director said, “There's not that mass of bodies anymore, and so we're able to provide an outlet that they have reporters that can report on stories, but we also have space where you can write your own story and share with the community."
The Stand is also looking for people to get involved. If you're interested, visit mysouthsidestand.com.
