ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Manlius Police have arrested a Jamesville man they say destroyed swan eggs in the village last weekend. According to investigators, Ross Leone, 23, destroyed seven eggs on April 22nd.

Officials said the eggs were about two weeks from hatching, and the person who donated the swans said they're estimated to be worth $5,000.

Leone faces several misdemeanor charges including criminal mischief, petit larceny, criminal trespass, and criminal possession of stolen property. He was sent to the Onondaga County Jail on $1,500 bail.

Leone is due to appear in Manlius Village Court on June 7th.
