FULTON, N.Y. -- A boil water advisory remains in effect for residents in the city of Fulton. Saturday, officials with the Fulton City Water System said they experienced a breakdown with one of the wells, causing cloudiness in the water.

The well was taken offline and officials raised the chlorine levels to make sure no bacteria entered the system.

There's no timetable for how long the boil water advisory will last but residents are advised not to use it without boiling it first until the system is back to normal.
