ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- It could be record low turnout for Tuesday’s primaries across New York State.

In places like Syracuse, the only race on the ballot is the three way contest for the republican nomination for U.S. Senate.

The race, to date, has generated little excitement and the local GOP chairman says the ability to bring out voters will be the key for whomever wins the republican contest. Tom Dadey says there is a small pool of dedicated voters to focus on.

"Primaries are different than general elections in the fact that they're very targeted, very surgical. So you know who your voters are going to be that are going to come out. You don't have to worry about other parties," Dadey said.

Dadey has been a strong supporter of attorney Wendy Long's bid for the Senate.
